Michael Gatto, M.P.A., Adjunct Assistant Professor of Health Professions,
Hofstra University; Associate Executive Director of Ambulatory Care Services,

Professor Michael Gatto
is the recipient of ACHE Distinguished Faculty Regent’s Award, 2012. Mr. Gatto
has more than 20 years healthcare management experience in various leadership
positions within hospital operations and practice management at Harlem Hospital
Center, as well as at Bronx Lebanon Hospital Center, Montefiore Medical Center
and Brookhaven Memorial Hospital Medical Center. He holds faculty positions at
both Hofstra and Long Island Universities. “Michael Gatto was this year's Faculty Regent Awardee. Mike has been
involved teaching graduate and undergraduate students for more semesters than I
can remember. He's been teaching while working full time all these years. In
addition to working and teaching, Michael always finds time to attend HLNY

Howard Goldberg, M.A. Adjunct Assistant Professor of
Health Professions, Hofstra University; Associate Executive Vice President
and Chief Quality and Compliance Officer, Institute for Community Living (ICL)
Prof. Goldberg has over 27 years' experience in behavioral health services, including over
17 years' experience in Quality Assurance and Improvement. Prof. Goldberg is
the Associate Executive Vice President and Chief Quality and Compliance Officer
for the Institute for Community Living (ICL), a $110 million dollar behavioral
health provider located in NYC. Prof. Goldberg joined ICL in 2002 and in 2010 he
was appointed the to his current position. Prof. Goldberg joined the faculty of
Hofstra University in 2007, he teaches several courses in the Masters of Health
Administration program. He is also an Administrative Surveyor for CARF
Internaltional in their Behavioral Health division. Mr. Goldberg received a
Bachelor's of Arts degree in Psychology and a Master of Arts degree in Health
Administration, both from Hofstra University.
