Lenard Marlow holds a bachelor of arts degree (major in philosophy)
from Colgate University and a law degree from Columbia University.
Most of his professional life has been in the field of family
law, first as a divorce lawyer and, for more than twenty years
now, as a divorce mediator. His principal interest has been
to create a theoretical model to support the practice of divorce
mediation, which he has
given
expression to in three books, numerous articles and a newsletter,
Mediation Moments, which he edits and publishes. He has lectured
and conducted workshops and trainings in divorce mediation
extensively, both in North and South America and throughout
Europe.
Mr. Marlow is a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial
Lawyers and serves on the faculty of its divorce mediation
training program. He is also Past President of the New York
State Council on Divorce Mediation as well as a member of
the Family Law Section and Alternative Dispute Resolution
Section of the American Bar Association.
