Remember How Hard It Was . . .

When you were a first-year law student and felt like your professors were speaking Greek?

When you were first asked, "What area of practice are you interested in?" and you either had no idea, or six areas in mind?

When you couldn't figure out if you wanted to work for a law firm or a prosecutor's office?

Share Your Experience . . .

Now that you have some perspective and expertise, and have been through some of the ups and downs of practice, share your insights with a law student just starting out.

We are looking for alumni interested in serving as mentors to Hofstra Law students.

The purpose of the program is to provide students with information and perspective on the legal profession, from those who know best -- practicing lawyers.

The structure of the program is simple:

• The Law School will match alumni mentors with first- or second-year law students, generally looking to pair up students with practitioners in areas of the student's interest.
• All we ask is that you agree to meet with your mentee at least twice during the academic year (at your office, over breakfast or lunch, or however you like) to discuss topics of interest about the practice of law and the legal profession.
