Hofstra students gathered on Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2008 from 7-11 p.m. to cheer on their candidates and watch the returns of the 2008 Super Tuesday presidential primaries.
The Super Tuesday Primary Returns Party was held in Studio A (Room 114) of Dempster Hall, south campus. It began at 7 p.m. with a discussion with students who recently attended three days of election events leading up to the New Hampshire primary, and continued at 8 p.m. with conversations with Hofstra presidential election and media experts.
The Super Tuesday Primary Returns Party, sponsored by Hofstra University’s Office of the Provost, School of Communication, Political Science Department, Center for Civic Engagement and WRHU Radio Hofstra University, is part of Educate '08, an unprecedented educational effort that will engage not only students and faculty but also the public in a year-long series of conferences, events and lectures leading up the Oct. 15, 2008 presidential primary at Hofstra.
