Political Séance 101

Political Séance 101 is a weekly WRHU and podcast magazine about all things Political, jointly produced by students and faculty, including hosts Missi Calderone, Sid Nathan and David Green. Segments include election coverage, prominent guest interviews, "Retail Politics" (a student opinion collage), "Political Horror Story of the Week," "News You Didn't Hear About," and much, much more, all delivered in a savory stew of sharp opinion, sharper humor, and self-congratulatory insight! It's Political Séance 101, where we deliver politics - till it hurts. Be sure to listen frequently, and also very often. Above all, though, be sure to always listen responsibly.

Hofstra Students Get Real-World Education in Politics and Government

Hofstra University’s Political Science Department has been securing semester-long internships for students in our nation’s capital for 35 years. The students receive a hands-on education in real-world government and politics, working for various government departments and agencies.

The student interns in Washington, D.C. for the spring 2008 semester are:

Hofstra Students to Study, Work at Republican and Democratic Nominating Conventions

Four Hofstra University students will study and work as interns at the two major political party nominating conventions this summer as part of Hofstra’s Educate ’08 initiative, giving them a unique look inside the 2008 presidential selection process. | more |
