Latest book, The Closing of the American Border, examines U.S. visa and border policies in the wake of the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001. His expertise is U.S. economic competitiveness, U.S. trade policy, visa and immigration policy.
• Brad W. Setser, Fellow for Geoeconomics, CFR, applied international economist with experience at the U.S. Treasury and the International Monetary Fund. Currently examining central bank reserve growth, sovereign wealth funds, and the political implications of emerging market financing of the United States. His expertise is central bank reserves and sovereign wealth funds, IMF policy, emerging market economies.
