In 1981, the University inaugurated the Annual Hofstra University Distinguished
Faculty Lecture Series. Until 2000, we had one Distinguished Faculty Lecture
each year, and we now have two lectures each academic year, one in the
Fall and one in the Spring. Invitations for submissions are issued twice
a year - at the beginning of each semester for the lecture in the following
semester. Detailed guidelines
are available for those wishing to submit. Ten full-time faculty currently
serve on the
committee. There is more specific information available on upcoming
or recent lectures under News and Events.
Should you have missed the
lectures, in some cases videos are available for review in the library;
in some cases the text is available on HofPrints,
