An expert in geology may be what you?re looking for. Hofstra Geology Professor Charles Merguerian recently completed a five-mile-long excavation of the Queens Tunnel, which has exposed new information concerning the evolution of the Appalachians.

Our facilities include fully computerized libraries holding 1.6 million volumes, plus library sharing programs. State-of-the-art language labs and television studios are among Hofstra?s most popular resources, as well as several theaters, dance studios, Hofstra Stadium, Hofstra Arena and C.V. Starr Hall.
Hofstra?s computer labs offer endless technological possibilities, with access to the Internet and more than 200 applications. All students are given Hofstra e-mail accounts and may access the Web from any of 300 campus workstations. All resident students can access the Internet and their e-mail accounts directly from their rooms.
Hofstra is a nationally accredited museum with both indoor and outdoor exhibitions throughout the campus. As a registered arboretum, the campus offers a relaxed environment filled with a myriad of trees and flowers.
