Nassau County Alumni Club

Nassau County has the largest concentration of Hofstra alumni.

We welcome all Hofstra alumni, faculty and staff, friends, relatives and supporters of Hofstra to our events.

What we do:

During the year, we help Hofstra alumni, particularly those in Nassau County connect through our educational, cultural, athletic and networking events. We also encourage alumni to attend general alumni events, such as Homecoming and the Annual Reunion and Alumni Meeting, and to support fundraising for Hofstra University and its students.

Recent events have included:

• Presidential Debate Night Viewing Event
• From Sha Na Na to CSI, a lecture by Hofstra's Dr. Rob Leonard, former Sha Na Na lead singer
• Seasonal Celebration holiday party at Hofstra's University Club
• A private reception with the Honorable Felix J. Grucci, Jr. followed by his IDEAS Institute Lecture, "The Science of Fireworks"
• Current events discussion groups led by Dr. Herbert D. Rosenbaum, Professor Emeritus, Political Science
• Networking cocktail receptions
• Team updates from our head coaches followed by football and basketball games
• Agnes of God staged reading with Talia Shire, Susan Sullivan and Missy Dowse
• Hofstra's Annual Student Film Festival
• Thoroughly Modern Millie and Lainie Kazan theatre parties
• Tour of the New Academic Building and the South Campus' gardens and sculptures

We expect this year to be even more exciting as our group continues to plan interesting events and to expand its outreach to alumni in Nassau County.
