What is GOLD?

Anyone who graduated from Hofstra University with an undergraduate degree within the last ten years is automatically a member of Hofstra Graduates of the Last Decade (GOLD).

The Hofstra GOLD committee is a group of recent graduates who plan social and networking events for alumni who want to maintain their connection to Hofstra. 

 Who plans GOLD events?

The GOLD planning committee meets throughout the year.  Ideas are generated through this group as well as from you!  The GOLD Committee is open to new ideas for upcoming events on- and off- campus.

The current Co-Chairs of the Hofstra GOLD Committee are Janeita Bellamy ’08 and Edwin Raagas ’10.

Why should I attend an event?

Attending a Hofstra GOLD event is a great opportunity to make new contacts and connect with old friends.  Alumni from all schools and majors come to GOLD events to network, show support for Hofstra, or just have a good time! There is often a discounted price for GOLD at University and regional events to give young alumni an opportunity to network with other Hofstra alumni as well as fellow GOLD alumni.

How do I contact the Committee?

The GOLD Committee can always use more volunteers. Hofstra University's commitment to its students does not end at graduation; alumni are members of the Hofstra family for their entire lives.  In these challenging times, there are several resources available for Hofstra alumni, whether they are on campus or throughout the United States.  The Office for development and Alumni Affairs has compiled a list of resources and networking opportunities.
