Meet Hofstra’s Alumni of the Month

Launched in the fall of 2006, the Alumnus of the Month program is designed to recognize alumni who are doing interesting and exciting things, or who have made exceptional contributions to their chosen field or profession. Alumni of the Month are chosen by the Alumni Organization Board of Directors. To read full profiles of all our Alumni of the Month, click here.

Nominations may be based on the following:

• Alumnus doing something particularly interesting or different
• Alumnus making outstanding achievements in his/her profession
• Alumnus setting a positive example, either by philanthropy, balancing work and life, or demonstrating a commitment to Hofstra and the community

Those selected as Alumnus of the Month are featured on the Hofstra Web site and in Hofstra Magazine. If you know someone who should be an Alumnus of the Month, please send an e-mail to alumni@hofstra.edu and include the person’s name, class year and a brief paragraph describing his or her achievements. Please also include your name, class year and phone number.

2007 Alumni Awards Dinner

On Thursday, October 4, Hofstra University and the Alumni Organization will host the annual Alumni Awards Dinner at the Garden City Hotel. Alumni and friends will join in the Grand Ballroom at the Garden City Hotel to celebrate the personal and professional accomplishments of eight distinguished alumni and friends of Hofstra University.
