Marlon Braccia

Marlon Braccia ’84

Profile:
President, Shiva Entertainment, Inc.; on-camera host of internationally distributed DVD series on yoga (650,000 copies sold); columnist for “Ask Yogi Marlon”; and author of The Enlightened Cook. She is also a film, television and voice-over actress.

Degree:
B.A. in communication arts with broadcasting specialization; dual minor in fine arts and drama.

While at Hofstra:
Involved with the Ambassador Program; worked in the Axinn Library; served as social committee co-chairwoman of Tower C; served on Hofstra Concerts; worked as a staff announcer for WRHU; and nicknamed "The Video Queen" for numerous lip-syncing jobs on MTV-style videos.

“Balancing a full academic roster, shooting various video productions, appearing in stage plays and being fully engaged in residential life and numerous extracurricular activities taught me how to multitask. I employ those same skills as I write, produce and appear on camera, in video and film projects.”
