Hofstra has remained faithful to its guiding principles. The firm conviction that teaching comes first forms the basis of our educational philosophy. Students learn from faculty rather than graduate assistants, and small classes predominate. Learning also occurs beyond the confines of the traditional classroom setting in a nurturing academic environment.
