Race at Roosevelt Field between a bi-plane and a Pitcairn PCA-2 Autogiro (NC10789) purchased by Curtiss-Wright testing the relative take-off and landing merits of each aircraft. Race ended in a tie. A. J. Neilson was the Autogiro pilot while the biplane was flown by William Marsalis.
