Environmental Law in Real Estate Development

The Wilbur F. Breslin Center for Real Estate Studies sponsored a lecture titled Environmental Law in Real Estate Development: It’s More Than Just Hazardous Substances. The conference took place on Thursday, November 1, 2007 at Hofstra Law School, in The Sidney S. Siben and Walter Siben Moot Courtroom Room 308. The conference was presented by Hofstra Law School and the Institute of Real Estate at Hofstra University.

Complementary Continuing Legal Education credit was offered and a Networking Reception followed the lecture for the Long Island real estate community and Hofstra Law School alumni in the Leeds, Morelli & Brown Atrium of Hofstra Law School.

Hofstra Law School alumnus Richard G. Leland ’74 delivered a lecture and discussed the need to deal with hazardous substances in property transactions. He is a partner in Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver, Jacobson LLP’s real estate practice.
