Hofstra University maintains a strong identification with its Dutch heritage. The annual Dutch cultural festival commemorates this lineage by providing students, faculty, administrators and the community-at-large with an opportunity to enjoy Dutch-related entertainment, fine food, art and unique crafts. A highlight of the festival is the campus itself. Festival visitors find Hofstra's already beautiful surroundings enhanced by nearly 100,000 colorful tulips that bloom just in time for the celebration each spring.
