Hofstra Entertainment (formerly Hofstra USA Productions) was an on-campus production company that consistently provided unique and thought-provoking theatrical productions and related presentations for over thirty years.
Collaborating with the Hofstra Cultural Center, as well as various academic departments including the Department of Drama and Dance, throughout its history, Hofstra Entertainment produced theater for young people, one-person shows, musical revues, original plays, world premieres, Long Island premieres, concerts, poetry-in-performance presentations and Broadway scale musicals with full orchestras. Hofstra Entertainment also had the honor to present productions for former presidents and was host to talent from the professional theater community.
The company drew talent for its productions from the local community as well as the Hofstra student body, and also hired much of its artistic talent from off-campus.
