Auditions

Hofstra Entertainment announces auditions for
The Rodgers and Hammerstein's musical revue
"A Grand Night for Singing"

Directed and Choreographed by Amy Dolan Fletcher. Musical Direction by Stephen C. Pagano.

Auditions:
Monday, May 23, and Thursday, May 26, 2011
7-10 p.m.* (no appointment necessary)
Location: Fortunoff Theater, Monroe Lecture Center – California Avenue, South Campus, Hofstra University
* Due to the nature of this production we request that all applicants arrive at 7 p.m. Auditions may include solo, dance, and small ensemble singing.
Call Backs: Sunday, June 5, 10 a.m.- 1p.m.
Show Dates: August 19, 20, 21, 26, 27 and 28, 2011.


Please prepare 16 bars of an up-tempo and ballad in the standard musical theater style.
*Please be aware there is a substantial amount harmony in this score. Cast members must be able to hold harmony
from duets to up to 5 part writing- from standard Rodgers and Hammerstein to more "jazz" style chord structure.
