Membership and Giving Opportunities

The Hofstra University Museum’s mission is to be a vital partner in the educational and cultural life of the Hofstra University and greater metropolitan New York communities, and to help visitors make deep and long-lasting connections to works of art as well as to the varied cultures from which they originate.

ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING BENEFITS:

SUSTAINER--$300 ($175 tax-deductible) ($250 Hofstra alumnus; $125 tax-deductible*)	All of the above benefits, plus: One additional printed exhibition catalog per membership year One invitation-only special event
FRIEND--$500 ($375 tax-deductible) ($450 Hofstra alumnus; $325 tax-deductible*)	All of the above benefits, plus: Special tour of the Hofstra University Museum Collection
PATRON--$1,000 ($875 tax-deductible)	All of the above benefits, plus: Special behind-the-scenes VIP tours and demonstrations (when permissible)

OTHER GIVING OPPORTUNITIES
Outright Gifts and Underwriting Underwriting opportunities are available at all levels. Gifts can also be made in memory or in honor of a special friend or family member.
Deferred Giving Plans The Hofstra University Museum can be designated as a beneficiary of your estate or other deferred gifts such as annuities, pooled income funds, and charitable remainder trusts.
Matching Gifts Check with your employer’s human resources office for matching gift opportunities.
Friend of the Hofstra University Museum Collection (Membership at any level plus $50; $100 tax-deductible) A portion of this additional $50 gift will be used for the ongoing conservation of the Hofstra University Museum Collection.
