It has been said that nobody has given more pleasure to more people than Bing Crosby. Variously called Uncle Sam Without Whiskers, El Bing, Le Bing, or Der Bingle, Crosby appealed to a universal audience with a talent and intellect that galvanized the mass media, and compelled a rapt public to purchase countless radios and phonographs, records and movie tickets.
- Martin McQuade, Guest Curator

This exhibition includes photographs, posters, sheet music and memorabilia covering the length and range of Crosby's career.

From November 14 to 16, 2002, the Hofstra University Cultural Center will commemorate Bing Crosby's life, career and international reputation with a scholarly and professional conference. Click here for more details.
