

Madeline Seifer, M.A., LMFT, is the Director of the Marriage and Family Therapy Clinic at the Saltzman Community Services Center at Hofstra University. Ms. Seifer is a New York State licensed marriage and family therapist She is also an approved supervisor for, and a clinical member of, the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy. In addition to her administrative duties, Ms. Seifer is a clinical supervisor at the Joan and Arnold Saltzman Community Services Center and an adjunct instructor in Hofstra University’s Marriage and Family Therapy graduate program. She is also a graduate of Hofstra University’s Marriage and Family Therapy program. In private practice, Ms. Seifer specializes in relationship issues of all types particularly those that involve chronic illness, parenting and extramarital affairs.
George M. Simon, MS, LMFT, is a member of the faculty of The Minuchin Center for the Family and an adjunct assistant professor in the Department of Health Professions and Family Studies of Hofstra University. He sees couples and families in his therapeutic practice in Deer Park, NY. In addition to numerous articles published in leading peer-reviewed journals, Simon is the author of Beyond Technique in Family Therapy: Finding Your Therapeutic Voice, published by Allyn & Bacon, and co-author, along with Salvador Minuchin and Wai-Yung Lee, of Mastering Family Therapy: Journeys of Growth and Transformation, the second edition of which was recently published by John Wiley & Son. Simon holds a bachelor's degree in meteorology from New York University, a master's degree in philosophy from Fordham University, and a master's degree in counseling, also from Fordham University. He was trained in structural family therapy, by Salvador Minuchin, the chief architect of this therapeutic approach.
Ira Kalina Ph.D, is a clinical psychologist and Marriage and Family Therapist with thirty-five years experience as a therapist, teacher, supervisor, and workshop leader. His specialty is the therapy of couples and he has published articles about marriage and marriage therapy.
