The Hofstra University Department of Public Safety provides 24-hour security coverage. All residence halls maintain a modern, state-of-the-art security and fire alarm system. Each residence hall is self-contained with 24-hour desk coverage. All guests must present Hofstra Conference Services identification upon entry.

Telephones can be made available in the rooms and can be used for on campus calls. A telephone calling card can be used for calls outside of the campus.
