The Center for the Study of Labor and Democracy is a non-profit research institute that aims to expand public understanding and discussion of important issues facing working people. CLD pursues a distinctive interdisciplinary research approach designed to produce policy-relevant studies of labor problems and institutions, extending from the local Long Island and New York City labor markets to national and global labor issues. The Center conducts original research, designs and implements surveys, organizes lectures, workshops, seminars and conferences, and publishes periodic reports and working papers.
The mission of the Merrill Lynch Center is to promote and facilitate faculty and student study in the field of international financial services and markets and to communicate knowledge and information in this field. The Center will seek to accomplish this through (a) the interaction of academics and professionals; and (b) an interdisciplinary approach to the study of the Center's areas of interest.
The Finance Department of the Zarb School of Business sponsors periodic Finance Seminars, in which faculty and doctoral students provide presentations and tutorials.
