The primary objectives of the evaluation efforts conducted by the Center for Teaching and Scholarly Excellence (CTSE) are to:
Toward these ends, the CTSE is developing a mechanism for the systematic collection and communication of information on the various components of the educational enterprise. The CTSE will engage in strategic evaluation research on programmatic efforts within the University that attempt to advance its goals in the areas of teaching and scholarship. The results of that research will be shared with the University community. Ultimately, the goal is to provide a basis for informed discourse and decision-making as Hofstra University seeks to promote excellence in both teaching and scholarship.
