Dr. Nasri received an M.B.A., and M. Phil. and a Ph.D. in Management Planning Systems from Barnard Baruch College of the City University of New York. He also holds another M.B.A. in Computer Information Systems and a B.S. in Cost Accounting.
Before joining Hofstra faculty, Dr. Nasri taught at Bernard Baruch College of the City University of New York and the College at Old Westbury of the State University of New York. He taught courses in Management Science/Operations Research, Production and Operations Management, Statistics, Quantitative Methods, Business Policy and Computers. Since the year 2000 he teaches in the Executive M.B.A. (EMBA) program as well as off-site M.B.A. programs. He is currently designing and teaching Distance Learning courses at both undergraduate and graduate levels.
Dr. Nasri’s work has appeared in the Applied Mathematics and Decision Sciences Journal, the International Journal of Production Research, Mathematical Methods of Operations Research Journal, Naval Research Journal, European Journal of Operational Research, Omega (The International Journal of Management Science), the International Journal of Project Management, International Journal of Quality Science, and ZOR Methods and Models of Operations Research.
He is also a co-author of a book chapter and numerous Proceedings that have been presented and appeared in the regional and national and international Proceedings of the Decision Sciences Institute. Two of these publications were selected as the Best Theoretical paper and received the Best Research Paper Award. Another one of his articled received a Certificate of Outstanding Research in Operations Management and Manufacturing Track and was nominated for the Best Theoretical Paper.
Dr. Nasri has served as a member of the board of directors, session chair, discussant, campus representative, and also as a reviewer for the Northeast Decision Sciences Institute.
