Bio:

Dr. Blonder has a Ph.D. in management and organizational behavior from The City University of New York, an M.B.A. in business policy and administration from Baruch Graduate School, and a B.B.A. in international marketing from The City College of New York, School of Business and Public Administration. He has lived in Switzerland, Sweden, Norway and Finland.

For the academic years l992-94, Dr. Blonder served as Chairperson of the Department of Management and General Business. At various times prior to 1992, he served the department in several capacities, including Acting Chairperson, and the School of Business as M.B.A. Director. The Society for the Advancement of Management voted Dr. Blonder the Outstanding Teacher of Year for 1985. At present, he is completing his 35th year of continuous service in the department.

Dr. Blonder has delivered papers and chaired symposia at conferences of the Academy of Management, the Administrative Sciences of Canada and the International Academy of Business. He served as Editor of the Hofstra University Yearbook of Business, Staffing Management and Professional Positions at Overseas Subsidiaries of U.S. Multinational Enterprises. Dr. Blonder has also authored and collaborated on articles that have appeared in Marketing Review and the Journal of Applied Psychology.

His areas of teaching, research and professional consulting activities focus on management, international (comparative) management, organizational and cross-cultural behavior, business strategy and business ethics. Dr. Blonder is a member of Beta Gamma Sigma.
