Dr. Sledgianowski earned a B.S. in Information Systems and a M.B.A. at Pace University, an M.S. in Accounting at Hofstra University, and a Ph.D. in Information Management at Stevens Institute of Technology.
Prior to joining Hofstra University, Dr. Sledgianowski was an information systems practitioner with more than 20 years of professional experience with various responsibilities ranging from programming, systems analysis and design, database administration, SAP basis administration, and project management.
Dr. Sledgianowski has served as the Hofstra faculty liaison for the SAP University Alliance.
Dr. Sledgianowski is a member of the Beta Gamma Sigma National Honor Society.
Teaching InterestsAccounting information systems, managerial accounting
Dr. Sledgianowski's research interests include the integration of accounting and information technology, implementing XBRL interactive data filing compliance, and decision-making considerations for outsourcing accounting and tax-related activities. She has research published in the CPA Journal, Issues in Information Systems, Journal of Computer Information Systems, and Information Resources Management Journal among others.
She has proceedings published for Information Resources Management Association international conference, Northeast Decision Sciences regional conference, and Americas' Conference on Information Systems.
