Bio:
Dr. Sledgianowski joined the department in 2008 after teaching information management and systems courses at Hofstra in the department of Information Technology and Quantitative Methods starting in 2003. As a member of the Accounting, Taxation, and Legal Studies department, she has taught accounting information systems and managerial accounting.
Prior to joining Hofstra, Dr. Sledgianowski had extensive business experience as a project manager and IT professional in public and private large-sized and SMEs. She is a certified Project Management Professional. Her research interests include strategic alignment of business processes, outsourcing business processes, and implementing interactive data filing.
Dr. Sledgianowski has presented her research at numerous academic conferences and published in academic and professional journals, including the CPA Journal, Journal of Computer Information Systems, and Industrial Management and Data Systems. One of her proceedings received the Best Paper Award.
Dr. Sledgianowski has served as a member of the board of directors, track chair, reviewer, and session chair for the Northeast Decision Sciences Institute.
