Bio

Stormy Brandenberger Choreography I and II, Dance is a collaborative choreographer whose dance and theater work has been presented in the United States and Europe. Her choreography has been presented in such New York City venues as: Circle Repertory Theater, Dixon place, Dance Theater Workshop, Hamlet Theatre in Westbeth, HERE, Ohio Theater, PS 122, LaMaMa and Saint Marks Church, as well as Brooklyn Museum of Art and Boston Center for the Arts. Her diverse choreographic talents have been highlighted in the Off-Broadway production, Slow Drag, at the American Place Theater in New York City, and a multimedia collaboration, with artist Susan Share, at the National Gallery for Women in the Arts, Washington, D.C. Recent projects include the choreography for the Yale Repertory Theater's 2002 production of Iphigeneia at Aulis, by Euripides and To My Chagrin, in collaboration with performance artist Peggy Shaw, a solo piece commissioned by a 2003 Rockefeller Foundation and performed at PS 122 in 2004. Ms Brandenberger is a recipient of several choreographic grants and fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts, New York State Council on the Arts, Meet the Composer, Creative Artist Project Choreographer's Grant, as well as having three theatrical projects receiving Obie Awards.
