Bio:
Mary Anne Trasciatti, Associate Professor and Chair, Speech Communication, Rhetoric, and Performance Studies (Ph.D., University of Maryland, College Park), teaches courses in the history of rhetoric, public address, persuasion, and political communication. Her main research interest is in early twentieth-century radical rhetoric. Her other research interests include the theory and practice of letter-writing and rhetorical pedagogy. She is co-editor (with Jerome Delamater) of Representing Sacco and Vanzetti, an interdisciplinary volume of essays on the cultural and political legacy of the Sacco-Vanzetti case. Currently she is writing a book on the civil liberties work of radical orator and labor organizer Elizabeth Gurley Flynn.
