Professor Brown integrates the practical application of strategy into the classroom by having students research and analyze current marketing management strategies using the assigned text book, annual reports and business publications. Her approach is to provide management direction while students play the role of marketing analyst and develop a complete business assessment, stressing both pros and cons of the strategy of their assigned organization. Specific competencies, such as oral and written business communications, team building, strategic thinking and analytic skills are emphasized. The course balances theory with in-class experiences to simulate "real world" practices.
