Bio:

Paul Zimmerman is a screenwriter and a playwright. He wrote the screenplay for the feature film A Modern Affair (Audience Award winner at the Long Island Film Festival). He has spent several years as screenwriter-in-residence for Tribe Pictures, and has written screenplays for many other companies. Mr. Zimmerman is also a contributor to the screenwriting handbook “Writing Movies,” edited by Bloomsbury Press, conducts workshops for the Gotham Writers Workshop, and works extensively as a private script consultant.

His stage play Pigs and Bugs was originally staged at the Eugene O’Neill National Playwrights Conference, and was subsequently produced at the McCadden Theater in Los Angeles by the Echo Theater Company. His plays Reno and The Founder have been seen in many venues in New York and nationwide. Mr. Zimmerman is a recipient of a playwriting grant from the New York Public Theater. He earned a BA from Bennington College, and an MFA from Yale School of Drama.
