Bio:

Mark L’Eplattenier graduated from Rutgers/UNMDNJ Physician Assistant Program in 1989, and subsequently received a Masters in Physician Assistant Studies in 2005 at Oregon Health Science University.  He has been involved in Physician Assistant Education since 1990, in various titles including adjunct faculty, clinical coordinator and academic coordinator.  Currently, he is serving as academic coordinator for The Department of Physician Assistant Studies at Hofstra.  Mark has worked clinically in emergency medicine, internal medicine, and endocrinology, and has a commitment to working with underserved populations.  He has research interests in Endocrine disorders including diabetes, and thyroid disease, and in health promotion.  He presented a lecture at NYSSPA Fall Conference 2012, titled “Thyroid Update 2012”, is a yearly lecturer at PA Practice Day at SUNY Downstate on resume writing, cover letter and job interviewing and is a test writer for PAEA.
