Professor Evelyn P. Altenberg's research focuses on language acquisition and language processing, particularly in individuals with a knowledge of more than one language. Her areas of interest include bilingual language processing, first and second language acquisition, first language attrition, metalinguistic abilities, and multilingualism/multiculturalism and communication disorders. In addition, she has recently co-authored an introductory workbook/reference book on English sentence structure.
