Bio

Carol Fletcher, Associate Professor and Associate Chair of Journalism, Media Studies, and Public Relations, teaches courses in news reporting and feature and magazine writing. She has more than twenty years of experience in the magazine industry, working for such publications as Discover and Time. Her work has appeared in The New York Times, Newsday, and JAMA, as well as numerous general interest, science and women's magazines. Her research interests include on line education and the magazine industry. Prof. Fletcher is faculty adviser to Pulse magazine and Ed2010, and track coordinator for Print Journalism. She is a member of the National Association of Science Writers and former head of the Magazine Division of the Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication. She holds degrees from Yale and U.C. Berkeley.
