Dr. Frank Gaughan joined Hofstra in 2003, after studying English and composition at the University of Massachusetts at Boston and at the Graduate Center, City University of New York. He co-edited Collaborating, Literature, and Composition: Essays for Teachers and Writers (Hampton 2007). He frequently teaches in Hofstra’s First Year Connections (FYC) program, offering courses that focus on popular music, education, and nature writing, His current research focuses on relationships between environmental history and national identity.
