Bio:
Dr. Guiahi earned a B.S. in mathematics at the University of London and an M.S. in statistics at the London School of Economics. He received a Ph.D. in statistics from Stanford University.
He is a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society as well as an associate of the Society of Actuaries.
Dr. Guiahi has worked and consulted for reinsurance companies.
Dr. Guiahi's research interests include the application of quantitative methods to the insurance field, and the use of financial economics, especially derivative products, to the insurance field. He has had articles published in the Bulletin of the International Statistical Institute, Record of the Society of Actuaries, the Proceedings of the Casualty Actuarial Society, the Journal of Insurance Issues and the Journal of Actuarial Practice.
