Liena Gurevich has been teaching sociology and criminology at Hofstra since 2004. Her research involves examination of the patterns of violence against children by their parents and caretakers. She is also interested in the revival of socio-biological perspective in social sciences and is currently working on the theoretical project regarding the possibility of integrating social constructionist and socio-biological perspectives in their application to the studies of crime and deviance.
