Bio: Dr. Nancy Halliday received her Ph.D. from the Department of Health, Physical Education, Recreation, and Dance at Temple University. Dr. Halliday taught for 16 years and chaired the Physical Education Department at The King's College in Briarcliff Manor, New York prior to coming to Hofstra University. Dr. Halliday also has an extensive background in camping, with more than 20 years of experience as a resident camp director. Dr. Halliday's scholarly work includes publications and presentations related to developmentally appropriate activity for children, outdoor leisure and adventure activities, motor learning, risk management and activity safety, and leadership and administration. Dr. Halliday has served on the state and local levels as leisure/adventure section president and is a reviewer and adjudicator for NASPE/NCATE undergraduate program accreditation portfolios.
