Professor Henderson has designed for many theater companies across the country including the Seattle Group Theater, Honolulu Theater For Youth, Tacoma Actor's Guild, Pittsburgh's City Theater, The American Studio Theater, the Bronx Opera Company and Inside Broadway. Overseas David has designed costumes for la boheme at the Chiang Kaishek National Theater, Taipei, Taiwan.
Film credits include art direction for Street Corer Justice; costume design for Menage a Trois and I Love You, I'm Sorry And I'll Never do It Again; scenic art for Iron Maze. He is currently working as the production designer on an independent feature film.
Professor Henderson has also directed several short films: Ghost Story, which won Best Short at the FAIF International Film Festival in L.A. and Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dumpling, which won the audience Choice Award at the Brooklyn International Kids Film Fest.
Professor Henderson teaches Costume and Scene Design, Scenic Art and other design related courses. He received his MFA in Costume and Scenic Design from Carnegie Mellon University in '94.
