Martha Hollander received a B.A.From Yale University and a PhD. from the University of California at Berkeley, and have taught at Hofstra since 1995. I have also taught at UCLA, SUNY Albany, School of Visual Arts, Pratt Institute, and Parsons School of Design. She is the author of An Entrance for the Eyes; Space and Meaning in Seventeenth Century Dutch Art (University of California Press). She has also published various articles on Dutch art. While her specialization is baroque art, she teaches a wide range of art history courses as well as in the Women's Studies program. Related interests include the history of costume, the history of film, film adaptations of literature, and the history of production design and art direction.
