Bio:
Dr. Labiento is the Assistant Director of Undergraduate Health Programs, and an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of Health Professions and Family Studies. She received a doctorate in Health Services Education in Infectious Disease Control from Walden University in 1996, and was awarded a Master’s in Education degree from Hofstra University in 1991.
Prior to joining the Hofstra faculty, Dr. Labiento was the Director in Health Education K-12 at The City University of New York – York College. She worked in Directorships for both The International Red Cross, and Catholic Charities Refugee Resettlement Programs. Currently, Dr. Labiento coordinates activities for the Health and Wellness Club, and Eta Sigma Gamma: Gamma Pi Chapter. These health advocacy clubs provide campus, and community health-service projects that reach out to individuals in need, and assist in societal-global-impact. Dr. Labiento is also an active member in Rotary International, and serves on the Pre-Med Committee at Hofstra University.
