Professor Basilicato holds a BBA in Accounting from Hofstra University and earned an MS in Taxation from Long Island University. She is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in New York State.
For a significant amount of her career, Professor Basilicato was one of the Tri-State Leaders of Deloitte & Touche LLP’s Assurance and Advisory Service Practice focusing on both consumer business and financial service clients. She was chosen to be included in Deloitte’s National Office Leadership Development Program for training partners, managers and staff in auditing and accounting. Prior to joining Deloitte, Professor Basilicato worked for a mid-sized accounting firm in New York City, specializing in audit, tax and consulting services for various small to medium sized closely-held business entities.
In addition, Professor Basilicato was one of the lead Vice President’s of Royal Bank of Canada’s Capital Markets Finance Team focusing on all aspects of accounting for compensation and benefit programs.
Professor Basilicato is a member of the American Accounting Association, American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the New York State Society of CPAs, currently serving on various committees.
