Bio:
Dr. Lazarus earned an M.S. and a Ph.D. in management and marketing at Columbia University.
Formerly Dean of Hofstra University's School of Business for seven years, Dr. Lazarus serves on boards of directors for MyTurn.Com, Inc., and the North American Management Council. He served on boards of directors for Ideal Toy Corporation; Superior Surgical Manufacturing Corporation; Graham-Field Health Products, Inc.; Facelifters Home Systems, Inc.; Stage II Apparel Corporation; the World Management Council; Diplomat Electronics Corporation; Bond Clothing Stores; the Academy of Management; New York School of Psychiatry; Continental Plastics Corporation; Ideal International, Inc.; Interstate Mold and Hobbing Company; Crown Recreation, Inc.; Rust Warehousing Corporation; and Alabe Products, Inc. Dr. Lazarus is Chairman of the Board of The Sweet Life, Inc.
An organization development consultant, Dr. Lazarus lectures in Europe, Asia, and North and South America on leadership, managing time, managing change, effective meetings, problem solving, decision making and communications. He was twice voted "Teacher of the Year" by Hofstra graduate business students.
Dr. Lazarus is president of the North American Management Council and was president of the Middle Atlantic Association of Colleges of Business Administration and the Eastern Academy of Management. He is a fellow of the International Academy of Management.
For 10 years Dr. Lazarus was professor of management at New York University Graduate School of Business Administration, where he won a trophy for teaching excellence. He also taught at the Columbia University Graduate School of Business, the Harvard University Graduate School of Business Administration, the Cornell University School of Industrial and Labor Relations, American College and The New School. Dr. Lazarus served as Phi Beta Kappa visiting scholar at the University of Washington, Lafayette College and Elmira College. Dr. Lazarus has had seven books and more than 65 articles published. He chairs the board of Phi Beta Kappa Alumni of Long Island.
