Frank G. Zarb School of Business Ranked Among the Best Business Programs in the Country
Hofstra University, Hempstead, NY – Students and corporate recruiters have ranked the business program at The Frank G. Zarb School of Business at Hofstra University among the nation’s best, according to The Princeton Review and BusinessWeek."It is impressive to be recognized amidst such outstanding institutions," said Dean Salvatore F. Sodano. "The Zarb faculty continues to foster the academic and professional success of our students. We recognize the importance of educational achievement and provide our students with all the tools necessary to compete in today's competitive global market."
The Princeton Review identified the Zarb School MBA in marketing among the top 15 programs out of at any college or university based on their Student Opinion Honors for Business Schools. The 80-question survey evaluates responses from 19,000 students on how well they felt their M.B.A. business school courses prepared them in the areas of accounting, finance, general management, global management, marketing and operations. They were also asked to report on their classroom and campus experiences.
BusinessWeek ranked the Zarb School undergraduate business program 97. The ranking process looked at 137 pre-qualified programs and includes nine measures including surveys from more than 85,000 senior business majors and nearly 600 corporate recruiters, the number of graduates each program sends to top MBA programs and median starting salaries for graduates. According to the AACSB, there are approximately 1,600 business school programs in the country.
The Zarb School offers day and evening undergraduate and graduate programs including traditional MBA, MS and Executive MBA programs as well as specialized graduate areas of study. All Zarb School programs are accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business International. The Zarb School's accounting program has the distinction of having earned its own accreditation in business from AACSB. The Zarb School is one of the few schools in the country that has dual AACSB accreditation. Zarb School students have access to the vast resources of the school including a world class Martin B. Greenberg academic trading room, a steady stream of top government officials and business executives who lecture at the Zarb School, study abroad opportunities in Beijing, Ireland and Amsterdam or participate in our 30 business-related student organizations.
