Hi my name is Imran Ansari and I will be serving as your future crisis chair at Humunc 2013. I am a Political Science major with a double minor in economics and international affairs. Last year, during Humunc 2012, I served as Secretary General. I have been a part of Model U.N. since my junior year of high school, and I have always enjoyed being a part of crisis committees.
I am a senior from Commack, NY and I have always found a deep interest in international politics. Outside of Model U.N, I am president of my fraternity, Phi Alpha Delta as well as College Democrats. I also recently worked on a State Senate campaign with Carol Gordon in Senate District 8. Also, I have worked as a Resident Assistant in Suffolk Hall since my sophomore year at Hofstra. With graduation looming, I am now looking to work for at least a year before going to graduate school. I am aiming to work for a legislative office or for an NGO. Long term, I would like to run for office, but this will come after years of work and schooling.
Although I have cared about many extra-curricular activities throughout the years, Model U.N. has always been my favorite organization to be a part of. My delegates will be challenged and forced to think critically regarding complex issues. I look forward to seeing all of you in session in March 2013.
