Dr. Joel Evans, the RMI Distinguished Professor of Business, leads a discussion with economists and regional business leaders about labor market trends, the job market, and short- and long-term opportunities for career growth. Hofstra University Vice Provost, Dr. Ralph S. Polimeni, former dean of the Frank G. Zarb School of Business,moderates the discussion. This panel discussion is free and open to the public. Speakers include Gary Huth, New York State Department of Labor Market Analyst for Long Island; Carolyn Doyle, Vice President, Lloyd Staffing, and Peter Goldsmith, Chairperson of LISTnet.

The Next Wave: Career Opportunities in Education, Health and Human Services
A panel of education and health care experts, led by School of Education, Health and Human Services Dean David Foulk, discusses how to launch careers in education, health care administration, counseling and other human services. Panelists will include Edward J. Zero, the District Superintendent of Eastern Suffolk BOCES and the Interim District Superintendent for Western Suffolk BOCES; Susan Shevlin, Vice President, Talent Acquisition, North Shore-LIJ Health System; and Gary Huth, New York State Department of Labor Market Analyst for Long Island.
There will also be a breakout session, beginning promptly at 6 p.m., for those interested in School District Business Leader programs, with Dr. Joseph Dragone, the Assistant Superintendent, Roslyn U.F.S.D.
