Lowe Hall's current academic uses include the Emily Lowe Gallery, Lowe Gallery, the Music listening room, and the Music Department. Its square footage is 32,944 and the building was designed by Aymar Embury. When wings were added to the building in 1963 it was also dedicated to honor the prominent painter and patron of the arts, Emily Lowe.
