This Admissions e-newsletter is designed to inform school counselors
of selected Hofstra programs and events that may be of interest
to you and your students. We ask for your assistance in spreading

A New Third Session For Summer 2003
Hofstra's Summer Sessions 2003 -- which now includes a
new three-week session in addition to its traditional two
five-week sessions -- offers more than 500 courses, attracts
more than 5,000 students and provides up to 14 semester
hours of college course study. These credits may be applied
toward degrees conferred by Hofstra and are generally accepted
as transfer credits by other colleges and universities.
Both day and evening classes are offered on the undergraduate
and graduate level.
Eligible summer session students include visiting students
from high schools and other colleges, new Hofstra students,
prospective students, and former or continuing Hofstra graduate
or undergraduate students.

Spring Open House
On Sunday, April 27, Hofstra will host its annual 'Spring
Open House' -- a comprehensive program designed for current
high school juniors and their families. It's a great opportunity
to experience Hofstra as a student, with opportunities to
tour the campus, meet with faculty, get the latest information
on admissions procedures, financial aid options, campus
life, and much more. Check-in begins at 9 a.m. in the Student
Center.

High School Visitations
Hofstra Admissions representatives are already on the road
visiting high schools in your area, bringing students information
about Hofstra and answering their questions. Counselors
are prepared to discuss the various programs and opportunities
at Hofstra, as well as the entire admissions process. To
