Bright Job Prospects for Hofstra Students and Alumni
The Hofstra Career Center hosted the biggest job and internship fair in
its history on April 26 at the Student Center Multipurpose Room and surrounding
lounges. Close to 1,000 students and more than 100 companies attended. Students
came well prepared and dressed professionally, with resumes in hand. According
to Dr. Marvin Reed, director of The Career Center, some of the hottest fields
this year are accounting, government agencies, online advertising, marketing
and the investment banking/securities industry. Participating companies
included MTV, News 12 Networks, the Peace Corps, Central Intelligence Agency
(CIA), Pfizer Inc., Memorial Sloan-Kettering, 1-800-Flowers, The Hershey
Company and Armani Exchange. |
